Definitely. The space background should have been the default one I think. It's less colorful and looks great. I love it.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the developers came up with it... Even though they decided to ditch skeuomorphism in favor of flat designs, they still decided to go with a paper texture for the background... It looks incredibly boring. And yellow on white is horrible.
This was my first thought too. Federighi took some obvious jabs and Forstall's skeu designs during the conference, but the Notes app still uses some! For starters they use a hideous yellow color for the buttons, then they put an inner shadow on the text which looks awful. The background also uses a paper texture. Why mock skeu and then keep it in the notes app? (I also haven't noticed it elsewhere, only here).
Hyde, on 13 June 2013 - 02:04 PM, said:Anyways, all the heat is going on the design, but people should focus on the [lack of] functionality even more. Yes, Control Center is a very nice start, but you still can't put any widgets on the homescreen, and you still can't reply to a message without having to go to the Messages app. Anything takes way too many steps. I also hope that they add the ability to choose which toggles you want on the Control Center, because I would rather have the ability to control 3G/LTE than the Bluetooth. And widgets-wise, they seem to have removed Notification Center's Weather widget, which sucks because it was way more practical than having to once again open a whole app just for a quick glance.
I think once it releases people will begin to start arguing/discussing actual features. Visual aesthetics are the first thing you see when opening iOS7 so it's the first thing people will discuss. Personally I don't care about widgets, even when I was on Android I didn't use them. So I don't mind the lack of them. I don't know why you can't quick reply to a message on iOS but you can on Mavericks. Hopefully they update this before release (not likely).
Things I love that they added are Control center (yay universal brightness control!). The built in radio in Music.app is great, I've replaced pandora with it already. I love how they changed spotlight to a swipe down gesture for easier access. New Siri looks sexy too. Does anyone know if Airdrop works between iPhone and Macs? I can't get my Mavericks preview to install so I can't test it out.
Something I HATE is how they changed folders. They can page now but you can only view 9 at a time. in iOS6 I could see at least 12 at once when I opened a folder. Now I have to page across apps to get to ones lower down in the folder. Also the crap animations. They are at somewhere around 0.3s-0.5s which is waaay too slow. 0.1s please. -

Looks good. I like the way you styled the fire in the rear.
Take out the noise though. For starters it is multicolored, secondly it would look cleaner without it
