  2. Battlefield and Origin whatnot.

    21 October 2012 - 09:42 PM

I finally scraped together enough money to buy Battlefield 3, and am in the process of downloading it, but i don't have any friends on Origin.
Anyone wanna play together? Drop your ID and we can all add each other and whatnot.

edit: woah... this thread died before it even started.
  3. sendspace is looking for a PHP dev.

    11 October 2012 - 09:03 PM

I was downloading some pr0n music and I saw their ad.
I'm not sure wether it's against the rules, or unwanted here, but hey, maybe someone needs a job.

I don't know PHP, but everyone else seems to. I'll just leave this here for whomever wants it

  4. I have some money burning a hole in my pocket...

    01 September 2012 - 06:58 PM

I got $80 and these in my amazon wishlist/cart:
    New SSD,
New GPU (Which might need a new power supply aswell),
    Or a new Airsoft rifle.

Which should I get? My decision making skills are terrible, and none of my friends want to give me a definitive answer.

or should I not be selfish and buy my girlfriend one of those huge ass teddy bears that will most likely suffocate our baby.
    Spoiler
  5. Old PC as a home server

    13 August 2012 - 07:02 PM

My friend has an old, beat up computer from the AOL and Yahoo! era, and I was thinking of buying it off of him to use as a small minecraft server or some kind of homeserver to host my files and movies for use on a laptop when I go out of town. The specs aren't great; It has an Intel P4 (~800Mhz clock if I remember correctly) and 128Mb of RAM (Pretty sure it's DDR but might be DDR2)and ~40Gb HDD, which I could swap out with an old Maxtor 80Gb just in case. Would this be any good in the areas I plan to use it for, or should I just scrap the idea, and buy a non-ghetto home server box or HTPC?

If it can be used, my buddy said it get's pretty toasty, so, where would be a good place to put it? It's old, and has that creepy, pedophile color scheme to it that wouldn't look good anywhere in my house other than the garage (which get's pretty hot btw).

It'll only cost me like $5 anyway.
