My second ever (good) design


and lots of abuse of CSS

Not a line of JavaScript - it was written to enhance my knowledge of CSS, and it certainly has done!

It works in Chrome and Firefox, and works in Safari for some people but not others. This is what it is meant to look like:

For some reason, it's displaying the footer above the twitter/about/porfolio/github links. o.O

I cant work out how to center them, I was hoping that nobody would notice :-(

It's because you've put padding and margin left on every link in the list. This means that it's applied to the first link too. Quick choppy fix is to slam it all in a div and move the div left a bit.

That is because he is using set variables to offset the content, instead of making it absolutely centered in the window ;)

A couple ways. The basic equation I use is to set the left margin equal to
-1*((window_with/2)-(object_width/2))
.
