You should add a thing for suggestions - I had an idea and I looked for a suggestions link but I couldn't find one. The thing I was originally going to suggest was timezones - store everything as a time() timestamp, format it using date() and on every page, use date_default_timezone_set() to load a user's selected timezone. You could do it with something as simple as:

Another thing I wanted to ask, just out of interest, was how are you hashing the passwords? I came up with a new one just in case you forgot to hash them xD I'd personally suggest sha512 with salts. I do something like this
