Twaddlr - Now up and running (fast)!

Yup, Twaddlr is out of beta into the unknown!

Twaddlr is now up and running! Register, and start Twaddling! :D

Thanks and credits go to:
  • FireCat - Site & server management, HTML & CSS and PHP / SQL backend.
  • PWNbear - Awesome design.
  • DarkCoder - Site management, PHP / SQL backend.
  • Arronhunt - Logo.
  • Mo3 - Donation of Twaddlr.com domain name, help with API creation.

What's all this noise about?
Twaddlr, the project we've been working on for months is, at last, up and running :) We've done our best to get it all to work properly and packed with features! You're free to browse through it, and find that one code snippet you were looking for, for weeks! :D Like it?
A little note to everyone; I truncated the comment's table, so all comments have been lost (cleaning :P )

What's up next?
Well, tons of stuff (hopefully) :) I'll be mainly working on the API and adding small features to the site. If you have an idea for improvement (or found a bug), just send me an email through the adress supplied on the about page. I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

How can I help out Twaddlr?
Spread the word! Shout out Twaddlr in every forum you go, use it all the time, recommend it to friends, tweet it - to make it known. :)
Another really appreciated thing is to donate to Twaddlr (more info on the about page) as running it isn't cheap (I allready overflew the bandwidth limit during beta testing :o ). I don't want to put ads on it - but I might end up having to.

I have no idea. Got about 1200 visits a few hours after the beta launch, so yah. It wasn't much at all actually, (3c) but still. Going yo be checking analytics often ;)

You need someone to go over it and fix all spelling mistakes.

I noticed one on the about page - "developping" should be "developing".

Also, needs a better homepage - at least more content.

Yeah, your homepage is a little bland, love the design though! you should make the textbox a little lighter :D

You should add a thing for suggestions - I had an idea and I looked for a suggestions link but I couldn't find one. The thing I was originally going to suggest was timezones - store everything as a time() timestamp, format it using date() and on every page, use date_default_timezone_set() to load a user's selected timezone. You could do it with something as simple as:
<?php
if(is_logged_in()) { // obviously the is_logged_in() is pseudocode
	date_default_timezone_set($_SESSION['timezone']); // the session var is loaded from the DB when they login
}
?>

Another thing I wanted to ask, just out of interest, was how are you hashing the passwords? I came up with a new one just in case you forgot to hash them xD I'd personally suggest sha512 with salts. I do something like this :D
<?php
$salt = md5(time() . uniqid() . mt_rand() . $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] . $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']);
$password_hash = hash('sha512', $salt . $password_plain); // have fun finding a collision for this xD
?>

I agree about the lighter text boxes, it would be much easier to read with a white background instead of a dull grey. :)
