A: I have noticed over the year (from using 3rd party applications) that regular computer users (like me) need to know less and less about technology and coding to create amazing stuff. I can create a really nice looking web site with data and facts in a few hours or days by using Rapidweaver (or other 3rd party applications). Same with many other applications, take Jailbreaking for example; all you have to do now is download one applications and click "Jailbreak" and it does it ALL for you.

I could be 100% wrong, and I know that for a LONG time some code is going to be useful, but how useful will it be in 5, 10, 15 years?

Just a little thought I have had for a bit.

I never really took the time to think about this, but over the last 40 years, desktop and web technologies have advanced massively, so i guess that in the future, even the most basic computer users should just have to type in a few lines of code in a high level language which will produce massive results. Look at Visual Basic for instance. The NET framework was made to help 'normal computer users' learn a new and easy language. I guess that the same can be said for most other upcoming technologies in the future. These high level languages that are sure to come in the future will pose problems, but i think that introducing general computer users to things such as programing is a HUGE advancement in our society.

My Dad is probably the most know little person on this whole earth about computers, and i'm SURE that technologies that are still to come will change this greatly.

Although, i know that operating systems and such will develop a bit, but im not sure how far they still have to go SOFTWARE wise. I know that we still have a long way to go hardware wise though.
