If only my school had good stuff :P
I mean nothing could top ms-paint, but sometimes those "easymode" Photoshop and stuff is nice ;)

Really nice logo, only problem is the light blue mid section in the smaller version really shows. Maybe a slightly darker Middle color would look nice on small one.

Repeat after me: jQuery is not JavaScript. It is not the answer to every JavaScript-related question. When you have to write some JavaScript, do not instantly react with "Oh, I'll do that with jQuery!"

I think someone needs a "Large Icon" thread for all your bored icons :P I like it but the bottom is lacking the 3D feel because of the lack of shading.

I think you should make the small version into an iDevice icon :)

Ooh, very nice.
Good think about having a jailbroken phone (among other things) is you can change your app icons :)
Although a version without beveled corners would be nice. The iphone and ipod round the corners themselves, so a square version usually works best to avoid issues.

Okay well here it is in the correct size for iDevices.

It looks really lame without the rounded corners, but your mobile will handle that. I don't know if anyone will actually use this, but whatever.

Oh real quick, does anyone know the actual real font used for facebook? The one i'm using here is called Klavika. It isn't exactly the same though.

It is a customised version of Klavika, they've just done some minor changes to the font, and used stronger antialiasing than you have.

Klavika is most noticeable as the basis for the Facebook logo.

Yeah i also use Klavika when I'm making something to do with FB. I'm guessing they will have modded it, all thats different there is the K is together, and the a is more bent.

edit: and the f is a little different as well.

Yeah a good logo will often not take a font as-is, but tweak it to make the letters "work better" together, or achieve some other result.

I like your icons though! On the very very first one, the only thing a bit off is the 'depth' of the bookmark. I think what I mean is make it look more 3D-ish. Like have it droop a little bit, like soft silk. :)

Nicely done!
