I saw that new design a little while ago via your Twitter. Looks great! I much prefer the colour scheme of the new design compared to previous one. Starting to take on a very professional appearence. Nice sidebar menu too. So fluid and ... I dunno, damn you come up with some great designs Arron!

Congratulations on the popularity of your service. I really like the menu design of your new site, was it your own design or is it the code out there available for all :)

I spent last weekend designing and coding the site. I've done similar navigations before in the past so it wasn't too much effort.

Yep, saw it on there too. Top comment mentioned json-generator.com which I had never heard of till now. Seems like a less user friendly version of random-user.me but much more customisable. RandomAPI should combat it nicely though.

At a Hackathon, I said "I'm rubbish at thinking of random names".

Girl next to me said "Go to randomuser.me"

I freaked out.

GUYS YOU'VE MADE IT!

Why does the API sometimes return entirely arabic names when getting multiple results? I would have thought it would be be better to return some arabic names mixed with names from other places every single time instead of returning an array of 100 arabic names!

Good news everyone!

Randomuser.me is now version 1.0 running on Node.js!

You can view the full changelog and documentation if you'd like, but here are the main updates:

• Generate up to 5,000 users per request

• Users that are returned in a request for multiple users are now all randomized instead of 1 nat.

• Multiple nats can be requested in a comma delimited list

• Added inc and exc parameters for including and excluding fields

• Added pagination

• Added back CSV, YAML, and XML formats

• Added DK and TR nats

We get about $20 - $30/month from Google Ads and an occasional donation ranging from $10 to even $40 one time.

Still all running on a $5 droplet/month from Digital Ocean :)

I made a randomuser plugin for a property generation library I've been vaguely working on: https://github.com/D...eity-randomuser
