I've had a decent time with DigitalOcean. The only reason I get downtime, is because I crash the VPS with my Minecraft server :P

I ALWAYS crashed my VPS with a minecraft server, because I'd always be using too much burst RAM :P the result would be it crashing, restarting, and then me being locked out of root for 20minutes. Not very good handling if you ask me but it was $70 for 6 months so meh :P

You're not meant to use burst RAM for an extended period of time. Burst RAM is evil. If you're using burst RAM for a long time, you really need a VPS with more guaranteed RAM.

Repeat after me: jQuery is not JavaScript. It is not the answer to every JavaScript-related question. When you have to write some JavaScript, do not instantly react with "Oh, I'll do that with jQuery!"

I was gonna consider going with them, until I realised I'd get a 400ms ping from where I am :(

Check out IntoVPS, I've had a VPS with them for 2 years and only one little problem! The support is insane fast and quality is awesome for the price.

EDIT:
Oh, now I see you're from Australia.

Me too, So i just didn't run Minecraft on it xD

NQhost seems decent, and it's pretty cheap too.

$10 a month for 512MB?!?! Wow that's not bad at all! I hope they don't oversell :( might e worth trying out!

Not sure if they do or not, but my VPS runs perfectly smoothly and I've had 0 downtime. When they opened their London datacenter they even transferred my node for me with only about a day of downtime (due to DNS propagation).

Same with BuyVM (no noticeable downtime), but they offer 512s at $6/month.
