Yeah, that was very strange. Nginx logs filled up the root partition of the server quicker than they could be rotated out, but the only thing that caused to stop responding was PHP -- the root of the domain could still load, since it's just a static file. As a result, none of my alerts fired off. Uncool xD. I didn't notice until I got back home tonight.

I've moved logs to a different partition now, though, so we should be all set. I'm guessing this is what caused the messed up post that Rails linked as well.
