Guests

So many?
Today i looked down to see who is online, and i saw 11 members and 580 guests... Is that normal? i have never seen so many guests viewing wdR :o. Or is it that i just never look to see who is online.

A bit random, but I'm just wondering if somethings going on...

It's usually pretty high, and it spikes when someone posts an interesting thread

wdR has a pretty high page rank and topics generally rank high on Google.

Quote

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusion called the past. Things are not explained by the past, they are explained by what happens right now. That creates the past, and it begins here. That's the birth of responsibility.

Repeat after me: jQuery is not JavaScript. It is not the answer to every JavaScript-related question. When you have to write some JavaScript, do not instantly react with "Oh, I'll do that with jQuery!"

Google traffic isn't bad, but we also recently had a thread high on /r/learnprogramming that brought quite a few folks our way :)

I know, it's weird! It's like a flock of gibbons with web-spinning powers all flew into a keyboard and made it happen. Crazy.

Could it also be that bots don't accept cookies, so each time they load a pageview they count as a new "visitor"?
