I'd really like to get one but to be honest they are way over priced and I'm not sure what the difference is between an iPad 3 and an iPod Touch (4th) other than the size of them...

iPod Touch has an A4, iPad 3 has an A5x which benchmarks twice an A4 processor (if memory serves), but also sports four GPUs. Graphics are much better. But other then that, yeah a big iPod (which is bloody awesome, the big iPod).

Anyone know what terminal app this is?

I'm afraid it's a little different this time around, since AT&T's LTE (just like Verizon's LTE) requires hardware specifically for that protocol. I'm not sure what you'd be able to get by dropping down to 3G and trying T-Mobile, though. I don't know much about how that might work.

ThatRailsGuy is talking about buying a used iPad 1 though, so it should be unlocked. If I recall correctly, there was only one 3G iPad then, and it came unlocked for GSM only.

Also, I second that about Prompt.

Yeah, if you have OpenSSH, you just SSH to localhost, which lets you have the awesomeness of Prompt instead of using MobileTerminal.

Mother took back her iPad 1 to use for the kids after they dented all the corners on her iPad 3 by dropping it on the tile. Been trying to get an iPad 3 Wi-Fi 32gb white for quite awhile, but everyone is sold out of the white version. Apple is bringing white supremacy back (disclaimer: punny joke).

The white version is awesome, it's worth the wait. I prefer my iPhone black, but the iPad looks much classy and modern in white. I also believe that scratches to the frame would be less apparent.

Really? The apple store down the street from me is overflowing with them. Want me to send you one?

I love my iDevices in white. Both my 4S and iPad2 are the white versions. I had to really resist purchasing the white iPod touch (got my black one a year prior) but I never use my ipod any more. My wife bought the black iPad3 and it looks really nice with the Retina display.

I find black more sleek as well, but I think the white iPad is iconic.

wow it surprises me that panic's prompt passed. I just looked it up and it seems like a defiant thing to be denied by apple considering what other things they have supposedly denied.

Well, it wasn't the first SSH client, but it's definitely the best. They didn't use anything private I guess, so they didn't break any rules. It's especially nice if you're jailbroken and can use it to SSH to localhost.

@ThatRailsGuy Have you tried checking the online Apple Store to buy for in-store pickup? They show a list of all Apple stores near you, and which ones have it in stock. Of the four within 45 minutes of me, only one has the white 32GB WiFi.

@Terminal: Take a look at iSSH from the App Store. It has a lot of advantages over any other terminal app and also, it has built in buttons like ctrl, alt, etc (for screen, nano) and it has support for more tabs.
